R.I.P. Mack Daddy

Mack Daddy lived a good life frm October 18th 2009-November 11th 2009. He was known to many as Macker and Baby. His favorite games were whirlpool and fishing.
Cause of death: Unknown, but we have some options.
1. Death by suicide since I called him Baby
2. Death from being cooked through since the waffel iron was next to him, on for too long.
3. Death by sea sickness from one of our whirlpool games.
4. Death by overfeeding
5. Death by heartattack since he would always flair up since he saw himself in his reflection in the rocks and on the side of the vase.
His funeral was held that night in the dorm. Guests came and a program followed by the procession to the toilet bowl followed. It was a sad day for all.

A Few of my Favorite Things

You want to know who I really am?? I'll tell you in ten ways:

Here are a few of my favorite things~
1*Strawberries--I like the taste of the sour fruit. I say sour meaning not so super dull and dense in flavor.

2*Artificial Nails--I feel like a female when I actually wear these. I like to get my nails done to feel complete.

*Perfumes--I like to smell pretty scents and enjoy that.
4*People watching--I'm not a creaper, some say I may be because of this, but I like to watch and observe people and their actions.
5*Relationship Physchology--Chris you got me into this and I love it. I enjoy reading books like Men are From Mars, Women are from Venus, or For Women Only. I think just knowing more about how men think and how they react to the things we as women do.
6*Willowtree figurenes--I know they don't have faces, but they represent emotion. They each mean something so different and if anyone ever sees a piano player willowtree figurene, buy it and I'll pay you back. They haven't made one as of yet.

7*Quotes--To me quotes me a lot because they can apply to anything and anyone in almost any situation. I feel I can easily relate to most quotes. They are often inspirational and make me want to be a better person.
"Never take a person for granted. Hold every person close to your heart cause you might wake up one day and realize that you've lost a diamond while you were too busy collecting stones."
8*Music--Music speaks to me like sports speak to guys. I especially love A Poor Wayfarying Man of Grief, Praise to the Man, If You Could Hie to Kolab and The Spirt of God arrangements.

9*Hospitals--So interesting! I enjoy being able to make people get "better" through medical means. This is why my major here at school is Healthcare Administration. I want to be a Hospital Administrator.

10*Chris--Oh how I love him! He is the greatest person to me, a wonderful example and a best friend. Thanks Chris, I love you! Even though you are on here as 10., I think you are #1 in my book!

End womens suffrage!

Some people just aren't aware of their amendments. Some people just aren't aware of their rights and privledges. Check out this video about some girls who signed a petition at Padua Accademy, National School of Excellence, to end womens suffrage. It's great... lol

Everyone has "THAT" roommate

Check it...to me this just doesn't make any sense. Ok so the lovely roommate, 23...why are you still in the dorms!?!...does not stop borrowing our stuff (meg, caira, me) yet she won't allow us to touch her stuff! BAh! money wise, it just doesn't make sense. seriously we've talked to her on several occations so we thought it was going pretty smooth until yesterday when she decided to eat the turtles I had just made with Shay. That's funny because YOU JUST GOT DONE EATING 4 THE NIGHT BEOFRE TOO! Save some for the people who actually paid for this stuff, especially if we can't use your stuff.

So once I saw her just take out the plate of our turtles, which is fine, just ask and let us share with your stuff as well, I gave megan the look and we went for Caira. She was all up in her face about how if she can't share anything with us, including utencils, milk, cups, POTS...then she can't be using our stuff. Thanks caira! Oh it just irks me everyday.

THEN... as if that wasn't enough clarification:

Today she came over from a friends house to ask for some bobby pins for her friends hair. FRICK IF I DON'T GET THEM BACK YOU ARE BUYING ME A NEW PACKAGE.

Oh it's just been adding up: she didn't know how to properly use a dishwasher. AH the agony of it all! So this is my vent, and now I'm done.

Happy day, all is well. :)

Rexburg Happenings

It's been a forever time since I've posted. I think I'll start posting on sundays. That way at least it gets done. Some things in the past month or so...Patience. We've all learned it from time to time but my roommates and I definatly are trying to exercise patience with our other lovely 23 year old roommate. Gah! It's so hard. THESE ARE THE FRESHMEN DORMS! YOU ARE NO LONGER A FRESHMEN! Yes, it's akward at times and at other times its: "GET OUT OF THE BATHROOM, YOU'VE BEEN IN THERE FOR OVER AN HOUR TAKING A SHOWER!" Luke 21:19 Katie... Luke 21:19.

Ok so aside from that here are some events we've been doing. This first one was an 80's dance we went to at Locus Live. Eh...alright I guess. I left early with some people.

This next pictures is of my wonderful roommates, Caira, Megan and then me. We went with some people and did the scavenger hunt game around Rexburg...it's a very common thing to do out here since there is nothing to do out here. This was just us fulfilling one of the requirements to go down a slide with 3 people. Found the slide...had the people.

LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW! Here is the first night of snow...this was exciting because as Caira is from Hawaii, it was her first time experience of snow. this was just after cerfew but it didn't matter, everyone was still outside soaking in the snow. This picture is Caira, Me, Megan and Linda, the other roommate.

OH REXBURG HOW I WISH YOU HAD A FALL. Rexburg goes from hot to cold in a matter of one night. It stinks. But lucky us, we've had an overall warm week. Finally, in the matter of one cold night, all the leaves fell. FALL! yeah right. The leaves were still green but we had fun anyway. There are two videos of us playing in these leaves on facebook on my videos. Check them out!

Lovely sand dunes. :) These dunes are slighty just down the road from us. People go four wheeling, some just jump off them. This past weekend Shay Brown came out to visit Rexburg so he came with me and my roommates, and Megan had some friends come up from Utah. We had a blast! There are also videos from us jumping off the dunes but I'm not sure if they are up yet, on facebook. Haha...this picture was awesome to create! I went down on a hill and burrowed my feet into the sand to create this and Shay took a picture of it.
Megan is an amazing photographer..she likes taking pictures and I love having them! Here is one from the dunes.

Isn't it great?! COME TAKE A ROAD TRIP AND VISIT REXBURG IDAHO! It's great...a city on a hill can not be hid. Rexburg is a giant hill and at the very south end, up on the highest part of the city, the hill, is the Rexburg Idaho Temple. No matter where you are in Rexburg, you can see the temple upon the hill. It is a wonderful place to be. The Wal-marts sell CTR ties! Hahaha...oh it's so great. COME VISIT, I'LL BE A HOST.

This is the link to Elder Dallin H. Oaks' devotional talk to the BYU-Idaho students this past Tuesday. It is very strong and intense. Go to this link and read or listen to it. It is about religious freedom and the constitution of the USA hanging by a thread. It is up to us to keep the constitution going strong. Read it.
